I started flying DUSTOFF for the 101st airborne July 70-71, which was deeply rewarding, but not something I could do again. Went on eventually to be an American Eagle captain for 24 years. I flew everything from Short 360s, Saab 340s, ATR42s, to Embraer Jets, accumulating close to 17,000 hours.
I took an early retirement to start the non-profit Alliance 180…a polyvagal l informed equine suicide prevention program for veterans and first responders. My team and I over the years have worked with over 1,000 trauma victims.
